About this deal

And if I got that just from the sneak preview, I can only imagine the full read will be everything us fans could want and more. I read the physical book a couple of months ago and never got around to finishing the audiobook until now I am obsessed! I love Ghosts, such a well written, funny, and sometimes genuinely poignant show, and if this sample is anything to go by, the book will be a good extension of that - I found the Julian sections in particular very funny. If you're looking for something specific, or a customised bundle of books try our book fairy service.

Current owner of Button House, Alison has compiled an archive of artefacts concerning each of the ghosts. I’m glad they decided to release a book as it really does give us a further opportunity to get to know more about the ghosts and enjoy a bit more of the show we all know and love. I got the button house book as a present which I thoroughly enjoyed, but hearing the characters read it took it to another level and was great timing after the end of the tv series. Fanny’s etiquette book had met in stitches and I also loved Robin’s analysis of different butcher cuts.Lots of little snippets into the lives of the ghosts that reside on Button House, I can't wait to see the full book.

Some of these are in the form of handwritten letters which can be a bit hard to read but overall it's very funny and true to the show's characters. The ghosts of Button House may have been dead a long time - some of them a very long time - but they have all left their mark on the world (even if, in Robin’s case, that mark is just a handprint on the wall of a cave). The Bookseller reports that the material for the book has been written by creators Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick, Laurence Rickard and Ben Willbond. Lots of little in-jokes and subtle references for fans, and looks like it will make a great companion piece. We’re delighted to finally be bringing this idea to life with Bloomsbury to produce something we hope fans will treasure. The Button House Archives will be published by Bloombury on 26th October, tying in with the end of the comedy. Loved the little insights we got into each of the ghosts and I was giggling like an idiot in the staffroom while reading this at work.
