I guess I didn’t really feel like these books were actually encouraging witchcraft in real life, any more than it was encouraging people to be werewolves. But then your lover can't carry you around when you are ill or when he wants to ravish you, so I guess this is the reasoning behind all of these tiny heroines. But along the line something unfortunate happens, Meredith’s curse becomes deadlier than before which in turn starts to kill her. Dastien I loved him at first he had to grow on me but once he did you couldn't shake him off, "I guess. There were times when she would feel like all was lost, or at least felt like giving up, but she would always get back on the horse and figure it out.

Because Tessa's life is so rough, because she's got to wear gloves all the time, Tessa can't fucking stay in a normal school for some fucking reason. I get that teenagers have inconsistent emotions with regard to love/life, but it tends to wear a bit as you follow those rampant emotions throughout the course of a novel. So when her family gets relocated from busy California to rural Texas, she takes it a chance to start over, a chance to not be "Freaky Tessa". I absolutely loved it but after 3 books the main character changed and it was jarring enough that it turned me off the series as a whole.She was one of those effortless types of main characters that was a true breath of fresh air, because there's nothing worse than not being able to connect with the person telling you the story. Ailbe's, which is somehow a school for werewolves because she cannot control her emotions, she is a danger to mankind.

Even if it means playing with magic she doesn’t understand, she’ll do anything to save Meredith’s life. When the coven leader tries to control Tessa with dark-magic, Tessa realizes she has to dismantle the coven or prepare the pack for war. Meredith, who is Tessa’s new best friend is portrayed as someone any girl would want to be a friend with.

If you like Twilight with the melodrama and the romance and the stalking amped up to the nth degree, you will love this book. The book ends at a natural break in the narrative but the story definitely continues in future books. Apart from being a strong character, Tessa has all the qualities of a leader but first she has to accept herself. Her only friend is her brother Axel who is just about to leave for college, whilst she and her mother and father leave to live about an hour away from his new home, in Texas.
