Regarding the "saliva" smell that some people seem to get, I believe Oud Wood, Oud Noir, and this fragrance all have that saliva smell.

However I always allow all clone fragrances to macerate for a month or more before I can give my pennys worth review. I have the original TF and wear it sparingly but now i found the Mason Alhambra brand dupe of Tom Fords omg. Among the clones that I tried, this Woody Oud runs second to DUA so you might wanna try that one and compare. However I haven’t tried Oud Wood so I could just not enjoy that scent profile, also the perception of the saliva note could just be the scent not working well with my skin, so do with that information what you will. Although it does smell a bit chemical, it is done in the right way as the chemical aroma makes it smell more camphorous (which is my favorite thing about Oud Wood in the first place).
