Riverlight has easy access to the Victoria Line serving key institutions such as Imperial College London, the University of the Arts and the London School of Economics. The site is roughly triangular and is located at a point where Nine Elms Lane diverges from its parallel relationship with the River Thames and runs inland. All six buildings are oriented north/south and are of varying lengths, filling the site and defining all major boundaries. Florescentia - From the Latin word for ‘blossoming’, Florescentia is inspired by the phenomenal natural transformations found in the biology of plant life and is created by Australian artists Atelier Sisu.

In the early 19th century, this part of the river was made up of a number of small wharves and docks, gradually replaced over time by other industrial uses. Labyrinth - This modular colourful Art-chitecture and temporary playground is driven by an exploration of the golden ratio and its connection to the Fibonacci sequence, once again created by Atelier Sisu. Go to Fahrenheit for a leisurely dining experience or a quick bite, and you will be impressed by the eclectic selection of dishes from around the world.
Ukrainian Dreams - This new commission will see the vivid and wildly imaginative works of Ukraine artists Tais Poda and RocknLight brought to life in an audio-visual installation. An exclusive collection of suites, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and penthouses were completed in 2017. The festival showed off the immense talents and beautiful spaces that Sleaford has to offer through a synergy of community and professional acts, as well as artist commissions.
Key features of the site and the surrounding area include: protected industrial wharves to both east and west which limit opportunities for wider connections to the river walk; a redundant industrial concrete pier serving a river boat community of approximately 20 moorings with access across the site; a dock inlet a limited number of semi-mature trees on the river frontage. It will reflect its surroundings and a choreographed light show will be accompanied by a captivating soundtrack. NOVA - Another Studio Vertigo piece, NOVA is based around a transient astronomical event which causes a star to quickly increase the strength of light it emits.This is the bare minimum courtesy that humanity must adhere to when consuming other living creatures. The piece incorporates movement, light and a soundscape illustrating the blend of the mechanical and the natural composed by Miles Nicholas. After the huge success of last year’s event, Sleaford was brought to life with a vibrant celebration of the towns culture and creativity.
