About this deal

I did not expect this level of performance from an unknown Chinese company playing around with a planar driver, especially not one that can rival the Dusk in terms of value proposition. I hope this helps anyone even a little as I was skeptical when I bought these, but I do not regret even for a minute. Sound: As mentioned above, when the Timeless is driven by a mobile or under insufficient power, the sound performance is not ideal and will be a little dry, but when it is driven by a higher power desktop amp, the overall sound has been greatly improved. Phones can't be used as DAC/AMP to measure headsets graph, and you can't see the bass texture, bass dynamics(bass control), sound stage (it's like crosstalk) and so on from the FR graph. It's like having a portable sundara, a brilliant neutral planar magnetic, but you can sit and listen on a plane, or with your kids around the house, or on the metro.

In terms of raw resolution these are quite close to each other but the Timeless just edges out their competition. Timeless maybe the best tuned planar IEM, but as an IEM that I use to enjoy my music, they are not something that I would personally recommend. This sound signature works for most music listeners who like switching between various music genres like Classical, Jazz, Blues, Rock, Folk and Pop. The IEMs are metal and seem to be well built, with no obvious signs of wear, although I don’t know exactly how long Antdroid has had them, nor how much he has used them. In Anathema’s “Untouchable Part 2”, both the male and female vocals sound vibrant but could use a tad more density for added tangibility. In fact, I know that all contents are not included as there is only one set of tips and I know that these include more, therefore I am not going to really talk about presentation. To my ears, the tuning of the Timeless is simply chock full of minor issues, namely 1) the bass shelf, 2) the amplitude of the pinna compensation, and 3) an unbalanced treble response. But also is it unreasonable to suggest that the cheaper the iem the less demanding it should be on equipment? P1 while sounding great, took me a lot of tuning to get it sounding great – not forgetting the crazy tips rolling of over 20 pairs before finding the one that fitted to my taste and usage, the demand on power for it to sound decent, cable swaps etc. The detail I would say is also slightly better on the Timeless in comparison to the S12, although there is very little in it.

It is super clear, great instrumental separation, great sound stage(far better than fh3) , but most important thing is the sound just feels realistic it’s bit hard for me to explain but it’s the best sounding iem i have heard. Everything is so in front in your face (figuratively speaking) that the sound is intimate and close with presentation. Trick is to use a tip, a size smaller than what you would for a shallow fit IEM, to get better isolation and comfort while getting the best of the bass boosted DF tuning. balanced port of the Hiby R3 Pro Saber Dap in high gain reminded me a lot about the sound signature of Sundara. Technical competencies, musical presentations, excellent scalability, ease of drivability and most importantly, a great value offering near TOTL sonic qualities that is hard to achieve by most magnetic planars in this form factor.Refunds may incur a currency exchange loss or transaction fee, depending on your source of payment (e.

there is a sense of wide separation between instruments and vocals in regions where you might not find it happening. stars out of five , if you ask me , i would slightly shift balance from sub to mid bass for more distinct punch , but it's a matter of personal taste since i am into tech death metal , otherwise they are very good for metal , electronic , hip hop , jazz , atmospheric , dance , psy trance and many other genres . The highs are not bright, the energy is there with excellent details for cymbals, for synths and any other high frequency information.

I’ve seen a few other units that don’t measure super well either, so I don’t think it’s just a one-off issue. I do not think presentation matters but its always nice so here are some hastily taken pictures of my unboxing experience all without me turning my phone camera sideways so it wastes a ton of space! The beautiful thing about planars is their layering and separation, which thus iem has nailed in one while dismissing the other entirely. To my ears this setup has somewhat dense Mids, fenced by commanding bass responses and sparkly highs.
