The maximum daily dose of this product is equivalent to 21.28 % of the WHO recommended maximum daily intake for sodium. If you have been advised to follow a diet restricted in any of these salts please consult your doctor before taking this product. Each tablet containsSodium Alginate 500mg and Potassium Bicarbonate 100mg which are reflux supressants. They work by creating a protective layer over your stomach contents which then protect your stomach lining and oesophagus from irritation from excess stomach acid.

Gaviscon Advance Chewable Mint Tablets are a treatment designed to ease indigestion and heartburn. Just chew one or two tablets and swallow them for fast indigestion and heartburn relief on the go, without needing to measure out liquids or swallow with a drink. Directions Some medicines must not be taken at the same time as Gaviscon. This is because the medicines can affect how the other medicine works.

The maximum recommended daily dose of this medicinal product contains 425.76 mg sodium (found in table salt). This is equivalent to 21.28 % of the adult recommended maximum daily dietary intake for sodium. This medicinal product contains 53.22 mg sodium per tablet, equivalent to 2.7% of the WHO recommended maximum daily intake for sodium.

Consult a doctor before use if on a low sodium diet. The calcium content needs to be considered for patients with hypercalcaemia, nephrocalcinosis and recurrent calcium-containing renal calculi. Patients with very low levels of gastric acid may experience reduced efficacy. If no improvement after 7 days seek medical advice.This product is considered high in sodium. This should be particularly taken into account for those on a low salt diet (e.g. in some cases of congestive heart failure and renal impairment).
