Which is great, who doesn’t need a laugh? This is a great book for new puppy parents, and can really help, but it won’t solve all your issues. Improvements It’s a book focused on helping new puppy parents get the best of their puppies and is a collection of all of Steve Mann’s information, learnings and findings as a professional dog trainer. Is Easy Peasy Puppy Squeezy the Puppy Bible? On this highly anticipated and sought after course, which is a must for both owners and trainers. Steve will:- Thank God, dominance theory has now been thoroughly debunked and, in this marvellous training guide, the reader is taught to be their dog’s good and responsible friend, as well as the source of all joy. A happy dog, just as a happy person, is much more likely to take in information than a terrified dog.

When I was growing up, I went to puppy training classes with my Labrador-cross and was taught to ‘correct the dog’. This usually involved a swift pull on the lead which, whether attached to a standard collar or choke chain, caught the dog by surprise and damaged the relationship we - rather demoralised dog-lovers - were trying to cultivate with our totally bewildered dogs.

So, in all, I must say I genuinely love Easy Peasy Puppy Squeezy. It’s something that I think can make a difference for puppies and the dog community. It is for all owners and dogs, not just puppies, and it will (hopefully!) start opening some eyes about positive training methods. As a complete doggy novice, it was important that I read a book that explained the fundamentals in dog training and I’m so glad that I chose this one. The author’s whole philosophy is based on positive reinforcement and teaching your new friend the behaviours that you want them to exhibit, not just stopping them from doing things by screaming their name or yelling “NO!”. I love that it covers the basics. It gives you the why, it gives you the how, and it gives a new puppy parent something digestible to get them into puppy training. God only knows, I made mistakes, we all do (so please don’t punish yourself) But having a reference text that I could dog-ear, note on, and use time and time again? Would have been a life saver in raising my pup.
