Quite obviously based on the Beyerdynamic DT 770 which I've never tried but they were reviewed as one of the more comfortable headphones for prolonged use and I was on a budget so went with the Behringer BH 770. Very impressed with them and my girlfriend was delighted with them. They sound very good and not even just for the money, very comfy too for longer periods of use, no overheated lugs. or power under this Agreement preclude further exercise of that or any other right granted herein. This End User License Agreement (the "Agreement") is a binding Agreement between you ("End User," "you" I have been using Beyer DT 770 PRO, AKGs 240/270 (in various incarnations) Fostex and Sony for many, many years, those are the headphones I use daily in my studio. I never would expect the Berhinger to sound like or even to compare to any of these professional cans. But do expect them to have a "normal" sound, a decent sound, that's all. Well, not only do they sound as though there's a HP filter at about 600hz (no mid-low/low freq representation whatsoever) but they have a distinct bump in the mid-high freq (sibiliance) between 4kh-7kh) and then a cut off at around 10k. I mean that high freq sibilance actually hurts my hears.
