While the speaker drivers remain the same, the Qualcomm chipset that powers the speaker has been upgraded (the speaker uses Bluetooth 5.1), bumping the sound quality up a tad, particularly at higher volumes, with better digital signal processing. It remains one of the best-sounding mini Bluetooth speaker models, with richer more tonally balanced sound than other Bluetooth speakers its size -- and it should sound good, considering its elevated price point. When choosing a Bluetooth speaker, what it really comes down to is size and price. Even the extra features like FM radio and SD card functionality wouldn’t save the Anker Soundcore Mini if it sounded just as tinny as terrible as most mini speakers. However, that doesn’t seem to be a problem.Bluetooth signal is one of the Mini’s few little weak spots. The signal is not ultra-reliable, and occasionally you’ll hear cut-outs, and then what almost sounds like a sped-up portion of audio as the speaker makes up for lost time. It's a fast charger also, doesn't take long at all to charge & my Wife & I listen to podcasts every night, or shall I say, we fall asleep with this on & it's still going in the morning.. You tend to expect a speaker with a radiator and tiny driver to have bass and treble, and not much in between. But Anker has really tried to add some bulk to the mids. The SRS-XB13 Bluetooth speaker produces sound with uncannily powerful bass despite its tiny size. The reason behind its solid low range is Sony’s Extra Bass (hence the XB in the name) technology.
Finding a connection and keeping it is notoriously difficult, to the point where we gave up and used the aux input a few times. The sound comes out of the top, so you can put the Anker Soundcore Mini more or less anywhere. And there’s a rubber foot on the bottom to stop excessive vibration wobbling anything nearby too much.This little Bluetooth Speaker blows my tower Bluetooth Speaker I used to have & my new larger boxy type because this one has the type "C" Charger (the boxy type has micro USB connection & broke & it's my 3rd one that I bought from a different store!) I got mine at Walmart around the same price & it's definitely a winner for those looking for a good long lasting, fast charging and great sounding speaker.. It has a retro design, headlined by a white housing with contrasting color bits and a fabric loop in Polaroid’s signature colors. Its rotating volume button is a nice nod to a time when Polaroid's iconic cameras were must-have gadgets.

But a lot of people will fall in love with this tiny speaker, with good reason. However, the Anker Soundcore Mini is still a brilliant budget buy. An FM radio is an ingenious, and unexpected, extra. It’s the sound that matters most, though, and we think most of you will be very impressed with what Anker has teased out of a speaker this small. Verdict The JBL Bluetooth speaker that received the biggest improvements over the previous model is among the company's smallest. The JBL Go 3 has a completely new look -- it's now covered in durable fabric instead of having the naked plastic design of its Go predecessors -- and that new design, coupled with surprisingly decent sound for its small size, makes the Go 3 one of the top micro Bluetooth speakers out there. Anker estimates the Soundcore Mini 3’s battery life to last roughly 15 hours, but your results will vary based on your volume levels.
