About this deal

This series continues to be one of the funniest stories I've ever read. It breaks your common Shojo tropes by, quite literally, breaking them. Mateo, Alex (August 22, 2022). "Romantic Killer Manga Gets Anime on Netflix on October 27". Anime News Network . Retrieved August 22, 2022. When gamer Anzu gets transported to a world of hot guys, it’s like she’s in a dream… someone else’s dream! Overall, I feel my review is harsh even though I didn't intend it to be. While I'm full of biases for a ship I want to see sail, I would be curious enough to try the third volume just so I can see more of Kazuki and Anzu together, whether in a "romantic" way because of the imp's doing or just them chilling at the house with their everyday shenanigans. Loved it and couldn't put it down. Romantic Killer has become my all time favourite manga series and I simply cannot stop talking about it! Junta, Anzu and Tsukasa are my favourite characters, but every supporting and additional lead character in the series is also really well written. Riri as Anzu's cousins has already created some hilarious situations and I look forward to seeing how that progresses through future volumes. I really love how the bugs/beetles are censored, it makes me laugh so much!

What I think we’ll see as the denouement is that Anzu does indeed find love, but it will end up being on her terms and through none of Riri’s meddling (outside of introducing the boy to start with). That’s a pretty solid way to split the difference and I hope it goes there (I have not watched the anime, although I admit I am more interested in doing so now). One thing this series does really well is depict friendships, and gosh darn do I ever enjoy that. This volume gets a little wordy at times, and the speech bubble placement for who is talking and when is not the clearest set up, but this book oozes character and makes me easily forget the layout flaws. I love how it has taken rather one note type stereotypes of characters and made them something more through the relationships they build. Love love love the family dynamic being set up between Junta, Anzu, and Kazuki. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for providing an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review* Loveridge, Lynzee (August 19, 2020). "Norio Sakurai's The Dangers in My Heart Wins Tsugi ni Kuru Web Manga 2020 Awards". Anime News Network . Retrieved August 22, 2022. If you are making a season 2, as i hope. Then i think Tsukasa shoud date Anzu because they need eathother if you know what i mean. And the first season was so romantic when Anzu protected Tsukasa and the other way. Please make a season 2.?This manga is so underrated. Please read this. This is probably my favorite volume so far. I feel sorry for Saki. This is real life and there’s always awful men with worst intentions. But I'm OFFENDED by chapter 15. Hoshino's fashion is perfect! You do NOT need to "fashionable" when you go shopping. But chapter 16 did bring up a potential story hook involving Kazuki, chapter 17 hilariously introduces a new romantic interest (he's an ass), and chapter 18 makes me question if Riri's implanted memories are actually real and Hoshino is just that oblivious. This had to be one of the longest times for a manga I’ve read and it’s not even that I didn’t like it, I loved it and I wanted to binge read it but I didn’t have much time to get to read it. When I did have time to read, I was too tired after work so it was one of my slowest mangas ever lol :((( Anzu herself remains amazing, just wanting to be left alone with her cat, and her attitude and happiness with her life on her own terms make her a five star heroine in a three star story. I guess we’ll see how it shakes out, but she’s amazing. Or maybe that’s the point? Eh, even if this does go a whole other ‘single for life and happy’ direction, I don’t quite think it’ll combat the general aimlessness of this volume. Before the whole thing was meandering, but right now it feels practically rudderless.

The Imp is the apex of all that is evil and I really like how Anzu isn't giving up and really wants to help free Junta from the Imp's spell. I kind of ship her being single, BUT I'm a romantic at heart, so want her to be happily paired off, but I DON'T want the imp to win. Catch-22! Despite her best efforts, Anzu’s harem keeps growing at an alarming rate. Practically at the same rate that her personal space dwindles around her, coincidentally. And despite her other best efforts, she might be starting to like the changes to her life. And, despite Riri’s “best” efforts, love could be in the air…I just finished it. An I am so hooked. I really hope there will be a second season! It’s not like other reverse harems/otomes it’s different and I really really enjoy it. Transcription: " Anata wa tashika ni anata no kuse o motte imasu..." ( Japanese: あなたは確かにあなたの癖を持っています...) Speaking of underwear, once an old-school panty thief shows up, of all things (Anzu’s reaction and follow-up to this are brilliant), the story finally achieves the levels that I wanted it to from the get-go.
