About this deal

If there is a sequel to “A Silent Voice,” we may see the previous characters with their allocated voice artists once again. A Silent Voice debuted in Tokyo on August 24, 2016, and was released in Japan on September 17, 2016, and internationally between February and June 2017. The movie excellently and appropriately portrays different aspects of a teenage relationship, such as pride, rejection, betrayal, redemption, and genuine love. My Generation" by The Who is used at the beginning of the film to express teenage rebellion and angst. The song rides the excitement and amusement of the kids gathering before school, ending with Shōko's entrance into the classroom. Yamada said that, for this scene, she wanted to use an evergreen that everyone could identify. [21]

Koe no Katachi tells the heartwarming tale of Shouya's reunion with Shouko and his honest attempts to redeem himself, all while being continually haunted by the shadows of his past. After the movie’s release, it was rumored that the story was inspired by real events. The irony of a bully getting bullied is a reality that many people may want to be true. However, there has been no statement from the creators that A Silent Voice is based on a true story. We can thus assume for the time being that all speculation about this stands untrue.

Pioneer Films re-schedules "A Silent Voice" anime movie premiere to May 10". Anime Pilipinas. May 2, 2017. Archived from the original on September 16, 2017 . Retrieved May 3, 2017. Shoya Ishida, a former delinquent, uses his friends to bully the deaf girl, Shoko Nishimiya. When Shoko finally transfers schools, all of Ishida’s friends and teachers blame him for bullying her into transferring. Despite the varying levels of responsibility that others have had in torturing her, he was made himself a victim. It consists of two distinct storylines that are distinguished by their temporal relationship, and which have 62 chapters and seven volumes. Unfortunately, the movie takes up the story of the manga from start to finish. It finishes just like the manga.

Not often does one find themselves rooting for a bully as well as the victim, 'A Silent Voice' is one of those rarities. The voice acting is dynamic. Despite revolving around a girl who has impaired hearing, the film has as protagonist Shoya Ishida. He is a bully during his childhood, but when he becomes the victim of bullying himself he grows into a depressive teenager who loathes himself. He starts to understand Nishimiya's solitary world. Both Ishida and Nishimiya end up becoming teenagers who deeply despise themselves for all the burden they cause to their families and how painfully difficult it is to try to make friends. Yahoo! Japan (in Japanese). December 5, 2016. Archived from the original on December 20, 2016 . Retrieved December 5, 2016. As someone who grew up partially deaf, Koe no Katachi is a manga series that has held my heart ever since I first discovered it. Shoko has always been a character I've been able to somewhat relate to and look up to in a way. When the anime movie was first announced, I wasn't so keen on the idea. I didn't think they'd be able to fully create the same effect that the manga has, the same beautiful scenes and facial expressions that really capture the full heart of this story. For the English dub, deaf actress Lexi Cowden was cast as Shōko. [17] Analysis [ edit ] Themes [ edit ]
