About this deal

When I first started reading that webtoon, I loved the artstyle & comedy, up until the last panel. I really thought she just had a one-night-stand but no, it had become more evident that she was completely drunk when the duke decided to sleep with her. And what does everyone with common sense know about sleeping while drunk? It is NOT consensual aka. the duke raped her. Todo parece ir bien hasta que, en una fiesta, Ripley bebe un poco de más y se despierta a la mañana siguiente en la cama del duque.

The author of the novel was obsessed with blond hair and blue eyes. The female lead had blond hair and blue eyes. So did the male lead. And so did the villainess. The question made me open my eyes again, and I stared at her hand. It was way too large to be a woman’s hand. By any chance, do you mean…the one with blond hair the color of honey, eyes like a deep-blue lake, and lips even redder than blood? That Etoile de Hailey?” I couldn’t help but stare at the heroine I had so enthusiastically rooted for. Just like it said in the novel, her gleaming blond hair and kind blue eyes were the first things I noticed. A shy smile lit up her pretty face.Death Glare: One of his favorite expressions. Either you’ve done something bad and now he’s going to punish you, or Lord Wright is with Ripley again (it’s always a misunderstanding though). Screw the Rules, I Have Money!: Rose is able to get away with a lot of the offenses she causes because her father is wealthy and has connections. She literally paid off the abbey she was sent to for kidnapping Ripley so she could escape and try to kill her once more. Everybody Loves Blondes: Applies to Erenel's entire society; the novel's author adored blond hair and made most of his major characters blonde. Ripley, Sylvia, Wright, and Archen's king and prince are exceptions to this trope. Crazy Jealous Guy: Played both for drama and comedy. In the original novel, Zeronis is a Yandere who won’t let Etoile go because of his desire for her. With Ripley, however, he comes off more childish than anything, with most of his jealousy coming from seeing Wright and Ripley together (who always have an explanation as to why they’re together). He can get dangerously possessive at times, however he’s not nearly as bad as he was in the original novel.

While I mainly touched on the reasons this isn't a ten - the art, comedy, and likeable characters make this an overall good read. To be honest, I didn’t even know I was inside a novel. I just thought, Oh, I must be dreaming. It wasn’t possible for me, someone who lived in a closet-like studio apartment, to be lying on this fluffy bed with flowy curtains.

My gaze slowly traveled upward from the hand to the attached arm. The woman I met yesterday certainly didn’t have biceps this big.Murder the Hypotenuse: Rose in the original novel does everything she can to get rid of the romantic rival standing in her way of becoming the Duchess, including murder. She also tries this against Ripley, attempting to kill her and Sylvia while disguised as a maid. She ends up setting the Duke’s mansion on fire and getting so severely burned she goes insane. Not What It Looks Like: A recurring gag with Lord Wright and Ridley; the two will be doing something together, Zeronis suddenly appears sporting a Death Glare at the pair, to which then the two do their best to clear up the misunderstanding. The maid looked at me as though I had grown an extra head. A hotel-style breakfast was probably too much to ask for, even for the daughter of a count. Este 1er volumen me ha gustado bastante, he reído a morir con las ocurrencias de la protagonista. El arte es hermoso, en especial los colores💋 y la historia no se queda atrás. Daughter of Count Jenkinson, she is an arrogant noblewoman with an unrequited love for Zeronis. She was originally friends with Ripley before the protagonist enters her body, but after Ripley meets Zeronis, she becomes jealous and starts antagonizing Ripley.
