About this deal

Siren has revealed its latest craft beer creation, Siren Lumina - a session ale that it hopes will leave you starry eyed. Lumina is a beer influenced by modern tastes as much as it aims to inspire them. Azacca, Mosaic, Ekuanot, Hallertau Blanc and Chinook hops combine so in drinking there’s a welcome edge of pine and grapefruit flavour to the overall juicy profile. The mouthfeel is soft with layers of oats (making up around 15% of the grist) helping this, along with some nice body. There’s just enough perceived bitterness there to freshen up the palate and get you ready for the next sip. It’s out most universal beer - being super drinkable, gluten-free and vegan friendly.

The session IPA has been years in the making for Siren Craft Brew (you could say Siren has been waiting for the stars to align!), adding a beer to its flagship range is always meteoric and so the master brewers wanted to make sure they were bringing something new to this solar system. Siren has spent many moons experimenting with different combinations of the best quality malts and hops to hone and perfect its Lumina recipe. Juicy tropical fruit notes, and hoppy aromas of mango and pineapple guide you towards explosive flavour, flashes of delicate citrus highlights and refreshing balanced bitterness. Siren's epiphany of a session beer drinks with a pillowy soft mouthfeel and pours with a beautiful light haze. Bags of tropical fruit aromas, pineapple, guava tangerine and passion fruit are balanced with a chewy, honeyed malt character. Siren’s top accolades include being named the ‘Best Brewer in England’ by Ratebeer users in 2015, plus a Supreme Champion Beer of Britain award by Campaign For Real Ale in 2018.Lumina is fermented with Siren’s unique house-strain of Vermont yeast, injecting subtle peach and apricot flavours. It is perfect for hoppy, hazy beers and Siren have it to thank for most IPAs and pale ales in its flagship range

This pale showcases new and different hops while maintaining a consistent pale malt base, allowing the different flavours and aromas to shine through. We thank every single bar, club, pub, venue and each and every one of you for grabbing a Lumina. Gluten Free At the beginning of 2020 they kindly agreed to help us launch Lumina in cans, little did we all know that the Lumina launch would only be in cans, with no pubs allowed to open at the time. In fact, Beer52 was a crucial outlet to breweries in that time, and managed to scale with the increasing demand. Some 18 months later, Lumina officially became our best selling beer. As previously hinted, we’re celebrating Lumina with some very special bundles on the online store. In fact, one of them is so special there are only 5 available!

Brewed to raise funds and awareness for the homeless charity Only A Pavement Away. Made with the finest English Maris Otter Pale ale malt which has a distinctive copper pale colour, and a rich malty base to showcase the finest American hops. We’ll be putting together the perfect selection of beers and some Lumina exclusives to help, including planispheres that we’ve crafted ourselves - guided of course by astrophysicist advice. Since our conception, having a flagship range has been at the core of our output and a hugely important part of our identity. It’s well known that ‘Maiden’ was our first ever brew, but did you know that the 2nd brew was Broken Dream, and the 3rd was Liquid Mistress. Bitter, a British style of pale ale, comes in a huge variety of colours, types and strengths from 3% to 7% ABV. Sub-types include light ale (low alcohol bitter, often bottled), session bitter (up to 4.1%; includes IPA), best or special (strength between 4.2% and 4.7%), premium or strong (4.8% or over) and golden ale (summer ale). PorterWe then utilise both flaked and malted oats. We decided to use a combination of oats to add depth and volume to the body to ensure a smooth and soft sensation when drinking. The oats make up approximately 15% pf the grist releasing an experimental beer every week. A drinks industry trailblazer, Siren is a leader in barrel ageing and the interplay between wood and beer. In its brewing process and ingredients, Siren Craft Brew uses only the crème de le crème of malts (Marris Otter), hops (dry and kettle varieties are used at different stages of the brew for optimum flavour and aroma) and yeast (Vermont) for Lumina. Marris Otter, which is considered the ‘Rolls Royce’ of

We start with Activate Deadline Mode (the name is inspired by this video that is very close to home). It’s the latest in a line of IPAs we’ve been developing using techniques learnt during last year’s Time Hops project. This one features Citra and Simcoe in abundance, with good body, a soft mouthfeel and crucially, a rouse of resinous, sappy bitterness that we love so much in IPA. Lumina is based on "themes of wonder, luminosity and navigation weaving in and out of the night’s sky mirroring the shooting combination of flavours".

Ales are darker and fuller-bodied than lagers, as well as being more robust, complex and bitter, with hints of fruit or spice and a hoppy finish. There are many types, including bitter, mild, pale ale, abbey ale and nut brown. Ales have more individual characteristics than lager, though their alcoholic strength is similar. IPA Ode to the Golden State a 4.8% Californian Common. Copper coloured body from a complex malt blend. Lashings of toffee and caramel sweetness whilst the lager yeast makes it easy drinking. So broadly, Lumina draws inspiration from the celestial world. As the stars have fascinated, inspired and guided us throughout the ages, we designed this beer to be the shining light of our flagship range that you can always look towards.” One of our favourite things about Lumina is the fact that it is Gluten Free. It was a decision we made early on, so that Lumina wasn't just Vegan friendly, but also available for Coeliacs or those with a Gluten intolerance. Whilst we do brew it with wheat and oats, for a luscious mouthfeel, we use an enzyme to break down the gluten.
