Not all camera models generate ONVIF push events for all event types, some binary sensors might, therefore, only be polled. The camera may work in extremely cold conditions as low as -25°C as it will produce heat when powered on. You may power on the camera indoors for a few minutes before installing it outdoors. This issue is related to the function of the camera itself, and it is indeed a temporary workaround solution so that your camera can maintain the synchronization of audio and video. The latency for receiving the events is the best for ONVIF push and the worst for fast polling, the fastest available method that is detected to work will be used, and slower methods will not be used.

PTZ preset positions can be set in the Reolink app/windows/web client, the names of the presets will be loaded into Home Assistant at the start of the integration. When adding new preset positions, please restart the Reolink integration. A brand new Reolink camera first needs to be connected to the network and initialized. During initialization, the credentials for the camera need to be set. I have been using Reolink cameras for about 2 years connected to Synology Surveillance Station (SSS). About 6 months ago I upgraded my 4 cameras to RLC 520a's as I really wanted the person detection features. With the latest firmware this works beautifully with SSS - triggering it correctly according to my camera settings. Do not place the camera in a shaded area and point it towards a well-lit area. Or, it may result in poor image performance. For better image quality, please make sure that the lighting condition for both the camera and the captured object is the same.This integration creates a few camera entities, one for each stream type with different resolutions: Main, Sub, Ext, Snapshots Main, and Snapshots Sub.
