About this deal

Remember that switching allegiance means that the wand bonds to the wizard and performs as well for the new owner as it performed for the original owner (and better than a random wand would). In the console versions of Prisoner of Azkaban, Ron's wand tip leaks out light-brown-coloured sparkles. In Goblet of Fire's PC and console versions, the same colour appears on a charm-able target within Ron's proximity whenever he is controlled by a player.

Lily Potter: willow, 10 1/4″, swishy (nice wand for charm work, according to Mr. Ollivander) ( PS5) Cedric, Neville, Ron, and Draco all have wands with unicorn tail hairs in them. This is a bit disturbing because of the following exchange from PS15:

Please select your trunk

If the flunky is given a bat and told to hit someone, he would do so; and more enthusiastically if you have his allegiance.

To use a real world analogy, imagine a wand being a human assistant flunky. If he gives you his allegiance, he will do better work for you than someone merely hired to do the work - that's how leadership works. If he gives someone else allegiance, he will do the best work he can for them. Harry's wand was made using holly, a type of wood used relatively rarely within the wizarding world. According to tradition, holly is especially adept at providing protection and repelling evil, and the people that holly wands choose are typically kind, loving leaders. Initially, Ron does not support Harry's belief that Draco Malfoy is a Death Eater, a follower of Voldemort, but is later convinced. Before leaving Hogwarts with Dumbledore to recover a Horcrux Harry arranges for Ron, Hermione, and Ginny—together with any of Dumbledore's Army they can summon—to keep a close watch on Malfoy and Snape. Harry also provides them with the remains of his vial of Felix Felicis, to aid them in the effort. [HBPCh.25] Despite the D.A.'s watch, Malfoy provides the Death Eaters entrance into Hogwarts, and a battle ensues. Thanks to Felix Felicis, Ron, Hermione and Ginny are unharmed by the Death Eater's hexes during the battle. [HBPCh.29] Snape kills Dumbledore during the battle when Malfoy proves that he is unable to. [HBPCh.27] During his funeral, Ron comforts a weeping Hermione. Ron and Hermione vow to help Harry find and destroy the Horcruxes and kill Voldemort, even if it means leaving Hogwarts. [HBPCh.30]JKRowling.com Archives: Birthdays" ". mugglenet.com. MuggleNet. Hagrid's wand is oak and "rather bendy". The oak tree is considered to be the "king of the forest," according to British lore. It is known for its strength. (JKR)In Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Bellatrix is depicted as having had a secret daughter — Delphini (Delphi) "The Augurey" — who claims to also be the daughter of Lord Voldemort. In 2003, Comic Relief performed a spoof story called Harry Potter and the Secret Chamberpot of Azerbaijan, in which Jennifer Saunders appeared as both Ron and J. K. Rowling. [23] [24] I'm going to have to take the plunge here and dare to suggest that the answer to the question of "Why didn't X happen" is "because DID happen". While not identified specifically, Umbridge's wand was described as "unusually short." Umbridge herself is unusually short, and perhaps her wand's characterisitcs suggest that her magical ability comes up wanting as well. We never do see her perform any particularly effective magic spells, after all. Unicorn tail hairs French and Saunders: Harry Potter and the Secret Chamberpot of Azerbaijan". .frenchandsaunders.com .
