Set up with Somfy Tahoma app went more or less smoothly (using existing remote controls), I can operate windows and blinds via the app Stay in control: Use the VELUX ACTIVE app to operate your VELUX INTEGRA ® electric roof windows, blinds and shutters from anywhere using your smartphone. The IO homecontrol it uses is very proprietary and the radio protocol hasn't been reverse engineered yet. With VELUX App Control, comfort is always in reach. Simply tap your smartphone to let in a breath of fresh air or shade from the sun to control temperature, light, look, and feel of your home.

In any case after these experiences I decided that I don’t want to stay with Somfy both because of the missing local functionality as well as the questionable support.

Delivery

The new Velux Active system uses a series of clever built-in algorithms to adjust your windows automatically to ensure you enjoy a healthier, fresher indoor environment. These algorithms can be easily overriden to allow you to customise the settings according to your own needs. Setup using VELUX app goes simlarly as with Connectivity Kit (but only VELUX products supported, no Somfy) Changed structure of the post, so that the experiences are all documented in the Summary without judging, if a point is a pro or con and deleted not necessary questions. It can be DIN-rail mounted and it also has mounting holes. It has 4 buttons to control the covers manually and has an optional RF remote available (not tested). However, during the outage you will not be able to use the app (i.e. no product control, no reading of indoor climate parameters and no modification of any settings). App functionality is automatically re-activated on all connected devices when the internet connection is re-established. The gateway may take a few minutes to reconnect after the internet connection has been re-established.

Transport companies acting on behalf of VELUX will only collect the specific items described on the collection note. No other items will be accepted. VELUX App Control and VELUX ACTIVE with NETATMO are both smart home products that can control your VELUX windows and accessories from your smartphone. The difference between the two products is: The KLF 200 is a completely different product to the KIG 300. The KLF is an interface until which links our windows to a 3rd party system. The KIG 300 is VELUX App control which allows you to open and close the windows from your phone. You will have the function with this to set timers and p the windows into groups.As far as I know there is no specific integration like with Overkiz (neither local nor cloud), thus I did not test this.
