For each experience, the reader is given the name of the experience, along with a one page essay describing the experience, and on the opposite page, a color photograph relating to the experience.I was impressed with the list, which includes many of the experiences that I felt were under-appreciated or kept in secret. Along with beautiful imagery that will shape your Disney wish list, this illuminating guide includes pilgrimages to historic Disney sites, insider stories, and inspiration for planning your next Disney vacation. I’m sure that there’ll be some Disney fans who will make it their goal to add and check off all 100 adventures from their bucket lists, but every Disney fan should have fun reading this book, wishing for their next Disney adventure. I have been and will always be a Disney fan and I still feel like I learned so many things just from reading this book. National Geographic joins in on the celebration by listing down 100 Disney Adventures of a Lifetime in this magical book. Other adventures in Marcy’s book will take you on journeys to discover the places that inspired Walt Disney, like a trip to his boyhood home of Marceline, Missouri or the Los Feliz/Griffith Park/Burbank area in Los Angeles. I learned some things, and as always am impressed with the Imagineers who design these attractions and the Cast Members who cheerfully staff them while dealing with misbehaving tourists, but my overall impression was "too expensive, how could anyone afford a fraction of these trips?Not only is this a gorgeous coffee table book, but it's also a fantastic vacation planner - what an amazing Christmas gift! I'm not sure what else might be wrong, but on page 16, where the author is talking about the places that inspired Disney, in her mentions about Hawaii, she talks about the islands of Kaua'i and Honolulu. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. In this beautifully illustrated treasury, discover 100 beloved and little-known Disney adventures--from seeing fireworks on a dessert-themed boat ride to dining with your favorite characters to a tour of the Galapagos Islands--that will make for a lifetime of magical, memorable experiences.
