Because our relationship with our earthy fathers can shape the way we approach God, we may not even know how to relate to God as a father without trying to earn His love. We understand that God is a Father but I want to read this quote to you that I just think beautifully articulates something that is not often recognized in our Christian walk. The greatest demonstration of God's father heart seems to come with His attention to the details of our life.

Your parents were often preoccupied with their activities, and sometimes showed no vital interest in the small events of your life, but God is not that way. Having not been raised with a father or a father-figure in my life, this book introduced me to the best Father a girl could EVER know or have! He will save, He will rejoice over thee with joy, He will rest in His love, He will joy over thee with singing.
