About this deal

An Eau de Toilette is characterised by a lighter concentration, perfect for occasions when you prefer to opt for a lighter perfume. So I personally think this cologne is ok however for some reason this is my most complimented cologne almost every girl that i know compliments me on this cologne they say its fresh like more than Armani Prive or Moschino Uomo so as a student because I get ladies reactions its a ten of ten for me. Very much a citrus fragrance, it also oddly has a hint of lavender - despite not actually containing it! The musk and cedar are extremely soft in this blend and don't really accentuate the top or middle, allowing it to fade to a skin scent rather quickly and remain mostly a pink pepper, citrus and light musk scent that is extremely attractive despite following standard formulas but won't be enjoyed by anyone but your own nose for a few hours because of its rather soft and subtle essence.

Performance has been great in the longevity department but this never really projects loudly but again is noticeable up close ! If at any time you would like to opt out from marketing, you can visit the Privacy Preferences page and select the relevant options. It’s an eau de toilette, and if they ever made this stronger, such as the same scent as an eau de parfum, it may have given it a bit more longevity.

We chose to review Hugo Boss Selection as it's a favourite of allbeauty staff that doesn't always get the limelight. At the end they all have the same destiny, producing a resembling feelling, and for me the same problem: could smell rancid during hard conditions, like sweat, hot weather and even less. Selection has been described as 'soapy' (we think unfairly) however it's definitely a very clean scent and perfect for daytime / warmer weather. It is of course from Hugo Boss and I have liked everything I've smelled from him, but this one is different. This one settles to something far less interesting, a lightly spiced soapy vibe of vetiver and geranium but with a bitter muskiness.

The highlights are the top and heart, which last the first two hours are dominated by the well blended pink pepper and citrus. What makes Selection more different of those two is a initial sweet smell, a little candy-fruit-like, but a well elaborated one, I mean, could be a silly chord but it is not. Top notes are Pink Pepper, Grapefruit, Mandarin Orange and Bergamot; middle notes are Star Anise, Cedar Needles and Geranium; base notes are Musk, Vetiver and Patchouli. The problem is it's barely there, I have to say it peaked my interest, transitioning absolutely so that's something at least. Only reviews that feature the label "Verified Review" have been checked to ensure that the author actually used or purchased the product. Having tried it out at Boots builds up my appreciation on what other say about a scent being "elegantly fresh and clean".

Please let me know if you have featured me in your blog, magazine or publication and I will add your button. Eau de Toilettes use slightly fewer oils than an Eau de Parfum, which contributes overall to the lighter scent. Make an impression with Hugo Boss Selection Eau de Toilette, a fragrance that perfectly intertwines the classic and the modern.I must admit that it is a very nice perfume, but is similar to so many perfumes available in the market and does not have its own unique character. The opening is very green and juicy conveying something similar to a fig like smell but with somewhat of a lavender and violet powdery vibe. I have used it a fair bit and think that the strength is fine for a scent of this type, being a cologne on the lighter side.
