The deeper the shelf, the longer its supports will need to be; for the 6-inch shelf we used 36-inch leather straps, and for the 10-inch shelves we used 48-inch straps. You may have to adjust the straps a little if they are off – the front one will be longer than the back one so dont worry if you have to adjust it.
