Mental wellbeing is something we all have to look after, develop and nourish even when feeling good! A positive, accessible and practical toolkit guiding young readers in how they can care for their mental health with confidence.

The past few weeks I have felt my anxiety back, reading this over the weekend, made me feel a bit calmer and stronger like a hand a warm hug or chat with a friend. I think everyone should read this book, it’s sort of like a checklist to make sure you look after yourself well but also it’s a gorgeous book to hold and read!

Alongside this, Alex uses is how lived experience to show how life can challenge your mental health and how he over came it. He is the bestselling author of The Second Mountain, The Road to Character, The Social Animal, Bobos in Paradise, and On Paradise Drive. This book is quite basic in a way that makes it accessible for everyone, and it has some hackneyed social media quotes, but strangely I’ve also found it quite profound. I have read a lot of self-help books to help me with my anxiety, but this book is different in the most helpful way. There are some bits that I think are a bit fluffy and that I know wouldn't help with my anxiety, but you can certainly take what you need from this book.

He also hosts his own radio show on Classic FM, Inner Harmony, which explores the relationship between classical music and wellbeing.
