About this deal

She goes on several interviews but then is contacted by Douglas Garrick, a wealthy tech genius to clean and cook for him and his wife. why is it that from the very start, you exude this irresistible charm that simultaneously gives me goosebumps? It’s odd because I wouldn’t say that I’m eagerly anticipating it and can’t wait to get my hands on it. So I thank my lucky stars that the Garricks miraculously gave me a job, cleaning their stunning penthouse with views across the city and preparing fancy meals in their shiny kitchen. So, now Enzo and Millie live together in the SOUTH BRONX, and I guess she’ll find another cleaning job?

I was turned down for the ARC by NetGalley and was so excited to get my hands on this highly anticipated book. I'm keeping my fingers tightly crossed that Freida McFadden won't keep us waiting too long for the next dance—or perhaps many more dances—in Millie's thrilling adventures. When it was announced in her Facebook group that 100 copies would be released by her publisher to her group members first, the hysteria was greater than any Black Friday sale I'd ever seen. however, i must caution that i wouldn't necessarily recommend it, as it lacks the necessary depth and the ending feels rushed. However, the pay and conditions are too tempting to refuse, and as the saying goes, beggars can't be choosers.

I read this book straight through in one sitting , and stayed up entirely too late to do so… Crazy twists and turns —I actually said “Wait, what? She also juggles cleaning and nannying jobs that come her way through word-of-mouth recommendations. Millie is a morally grey lead and while I love following the chaotic situations that she gets herself into, I wouldn’t say that she’s the standout part of the series for me. it's such a shame that you'll be sad because you'll be unable to enjoy the most exciting part due to the spoiler ahead, hehe!

She is an exceptional author as I’ve read some of her other books as well but I was anxiously waiting for the sequel to “The Housemaid” because it was one of the best novels I read in 2022. This absolutely explosive and shockingly twisty sequel to international phenomenon and New York Times , USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestseller The Housemaid will keep you racing through the pages late into the night. Definitely recommend this wild psychological thriller novel to anyone who love crazy and creepy plot twists and unhinged characters. The pacing was slower than the first book, but there are plenty of creative twists and red herrings that will keep you on your toes.

perhaps i should consider therapy, but hey, who can resist a little bit of mystery and excitement in their life? Stuffed full of secrets, lies, and underhanded motivations, there was one epic twist after the other right up until the very end. Is this threat connected to the Garrick family, or is something even more sinister lurking in the shadows, poised to threaten her life?

So I thank my lucky stars that the Garricks miraculously give me a job, cleaning their stunning penthouse with views across the city and preparing fancy meals in their shiny kitchen. Anyone who loves The Perfect Marriage by Jeneva Rose, The Woman in the Window and Gone Girl will be totally hooked! wendy’s backstory, her tiresome plan, and her boring point of view) dragged on for so long, i was losing my fucking shit. McFadden gets major props from me for not going into any specifics in both potential trigger warnings. This book takes place several years after The Housemaid so you can actually read this one without reading the first (although I highly recommend you read that one too because it was amazing!I love how all of her books are so fast-paced and addictive, you simply can’t put them down even if you tried.
