About this deal

Edited to add: I just had a closer look at the documentation and they are NOT CLEAR if this is a traditional splitter (like a VGA splitter, which just duplicates a screen) or if it is a thunderbolt-style splitter (which would allow the graphics core on a MacBook Pro to see each DisplayPort port as a separate connection, and to pump different images to each monitor). DisplayPort Out on the first monitor is connected to the second monitor, which needs to have a DP in port. Advantage: it's directly used on mini displayport, adapters from DP to mDP are only needed for the screens.

standards, but to ensure full functionality, check your graphic card's documentation to confirm it supports the features you need. With this MST hub, you can use separate DP video adapters to connect HDMI, VGA or DVI displays, for compatibility with all of your existing monitors. Astonishing Picture Quality MST technology uses your existing video card to minimize the use of system resources, while delivering UHD 4K resolutions for two monitors or displays simultaneously. It turns out that the Cirago, Startech, and Dell are all based on the previous revision of the IDT chipset which did not support a true switching / daisy-chain mode.Signals can be expanded across both displays to show large scale spreadsheets, create immersive panoramic gaming experiences or eye-catching digital signage in retail. In multi-stream video wall mode, the monitors will correctly display your content to create a dazzling, eye-catching presentation. Daisy chaining means connecting your laptop to monitor A, then connecting monitor A to monitor B and so on. We offer a complete circular IT solution so as well as supplying the latest technology we also recycle unwanted tech, simplifying IT lifecycle management and helping to minimise the impact the technology industry is having on our environment with our fully accredited recycling facility. The hub also lets you mirror the same image onto multiple displays, for remote viewing applications such as digital signage.
