The clean mode seemed a bit over the top to me, but it works well, however the soup that is around the higher edges doesn't get cleaned but, instead of having to clean it off with a dishcloth, it rinsed away after the cleaning mode. It makes a little bit of noise when it's blending but not for long and otherwise it quietly gets on with it.
