About this deal

Quote from: GoingMyWay on November 25, 2020, 09:46 AM You probably need to resize your images so they are smaller. It is essentially a big speed square which clips on to the rail with the same kind of draw latch used by the commercial rail squares.

Trax90 XL can be slid off from the track from time to time if required, though it is designed to be left fitted to the track to avoid wear.It would be great to do a comparison of these squares, but it’s not something that’s in my budget… maybe Fine Woodworking Magazine will take up the cause. The quality of this tool is absolutely first rate, the fit and finish are impeccable and I couldn’t be happier! Another thing to check with the saw is the bevel angle, it must be 90degrees and definitely isn't out of the box from factory. Our machinery range includes, lathes, bandsaws, table saws, spindle moulders, planers and thicknessers and pillar drills as well as dust extractors, welders and water pumps. This is a solid piece of CNC machined aluminium, high quality, highly durable and extremely accurate. The ends of the guide rail are most susceptible to damage and the square depends on butting against good straight undamaged rail. Frank recommended me the FC Hybrid Rail Square which I have used on both brands of rails and I couldn’t have asked for anything better. I definitely would not just get the fence or rails only as they serve a different purpose and limit you to using a holy top of some kind. Once you verify its cutting perfectly square you can run another screw in just to make sure it doesnt move if you like.

My point is that you can want a cheap tracksaw and still want a rail square, because you might still need to make square cuts. One thing to note is that over that length you need to make sure the rail at the far end is square with the bottom end of the rail as there is some “flop” in the long rail length. evolution rail will get you a long way and both the square and the rail will work with a better quality saw. This can be inserted with the Grooved Adaptors in the holes of an MFT top to allow the square to be used on any MFT style top for complete accuracy. I tried mine for breaking down sheets and for long cuts with two Makita rails, when I compared to a known square and my measured pencil marks it was close, but out sufficiently that I always had to fiddle it around.I have found this at Atlas Machinery and to be honest I have not been able to find out who manufactures it. Bought a mk5 hybrid last summer, first day I had it, it paid for itself with the amount of time it saved whilst I was building a custom 24m continuous desk. Our latest models incorporate the most recent advancements, now featuring a double-ended design, making them slightly thinner and quicker to machine, thus reducing manufacturing costs.
