About this deal

I'm not sure what's wrong with my nose compared to all the other reviewers who find it to be much fruitier than woody. Probably it's biggest rival is Armaf CDNI, which is much more hyped, but I haven't smelled it and can't compare them.

I wear this fragrance and know Creeds Original - and I know that - so the prelude is almost confusingly similar and differences can only be heard in the concentrated sniffing. About two years ago I gave my 2017 bottle to a co-worker of mine with the idea that he could wear it more often than me. Inspired by the most beautiful of Nature's best creations, the L’Aventure Rose is a wonder to behold, with the rose aspect being dominant through the aromatic journey this fragrance embarks on, you are in for a treat. Also for the ones who say CDNIM has a “harsh” opening, you clearly don’t have the France version, because mine opens up smooth and perfectly. This is my worst perfoming fragrance in my collection and was such a disappointment because everyone hyped this up to be extremely long lasting. Another thing I really like about this bottle compared to Armaf’s version is that you can actually see your juice in this. on the positive side it smells really good, is affordable, and it has some really strong smokey Aventus vibes.

it all comes down to whether you're going get lucky with the batch since the smell is great regardless of how close to Aventus it is. Some say there's reformulation and that the intense is beast mode, but I have no direct knowledge on any of this. I won't do many reviews, but I had to comment on this as I work on a check out and meet more people every day than most of you will meet ever!Only at the second smell one notices that the lemon plays the supporting role here and that something is still missing up to the pineapple. Sure, you get the lemon blast in the top with CDNIM, but soon after comes the great beastly drydown.

Like the journey it mirrors, this scent begins with an exciting burst and concludes with a sense of greatness.

I see how L'Aventure could be the more reliable blend if you look for something for formal settings. Hope Al-Haramain doesn't/stops reformulating their fragrances, because I experienced some differences between batches, especially with L'Adventure Blanche (the Silver Mountain Water clone). I did have a test strip of the latest Aventus Absolu and it lasted an easy 12 hours on the paper - no observations for skin or clothing.

Performance is not as good as CDNIM: that thing glues to my bones from morning to bedtime even after a shower, but it is above average when compared to the designer standard of longevity and sillage. One big advantage of L'Aventure is that it resembles Aventus relatively well at all stages of development (if you ever smelled Club de Nuit opening, you know what I mean). The stickers will be placed on the bottles of the fragrance to indicate that it is the intense version. Haven't worn it in probably 2 months, put it on at 6:30 this morning, three sprays on chest, 1 hour later I'm barely smelling anything, but it does smell even better. It then devolves to a rose-infused jasmine adventure that comes with the hope of perfection and the reality of brilliance.
