Comical, colourful and curious, the Twirlywoos are back on CBeebies with a new set of adorable antics, from Monday 27 July. The spinning drum features all of the Twirlywoos and says their names plus has their voices along with the boat announcing "round and round". I've actually purchased two Big Red Boat Playset's (and two of the full character packs to go with them) as one was for my Godson and the other for my daughter for Christmas. The Twirlywoos are constantly curious and in awe of the world around them, and (through gestures and sounds) pose questions that lead to investigations.

I haven't deducted any stars for the couple of little niggles I have as the set is fantastic and very much loved and played with. Each episode of Twirlywoos is, based around one of these 'schemas', such as ‘up and down’, ‘inside and outside’.Combines developmental learning with imaginative play with fun sounds, songs, flashing lights and activities galore! For example, they mention it's a brilliant toy with lots of different sounds and things to press or play with. The Twirlywoos’ curious nature and creative thinking skills can help children get excited about exploration and discovery, and use their creativity to figure out the world around them. Very young children are learning how to move their bodies and music is a fantastic way to inspire movement. Children will be encouraged to explore their own environment along with the Twirlywoos, and learn new things about their world each day.

The boat is great, it comes with Great Big Hoo and Peekaboo and has plenty of little buttons and pully bits that makes noises. You press the little button and the narrator says full when it gets to the top and empty once it all drains away again. They mention it's a great gift for any child as it has plenty of different sounds and things to press or play with. However, by the 27th December it has stopped working, assumed it was the batteries, this was not the case it was broken and only the lights flashed no sound. The Twirlywoos use funny sounds to accompany movements on screen and this helps children focus attention and imitate the movements themselves.On Thursday the Twirlywoos cause chaos on the beach when they keep filling a man’s beach tent with silly objects.
