White Diamonds, Passion and Diamonds and Emeralds are my other ET fragrances that I own Emeralds is my favourite as I love Tuberose and Gardenia but Rubies is beautiful. I don't get any almonds from this, but it's difficult to miss them when the fragrance as a whole is so stunning.

Now that's on me, I am sure that it smells gorgeous on those of you who have praised it to the heavens. This is a "50's femme fatale" scent, glamorous and larger than life in the old Hollywood kind of way. Delicious and warm, spicy but sweet, floral and powdery with a glow, a ruby in the middle or heart of a diamond stone pendant, plunging into a bosom, which smells of Diamond and Rubies by Elizabeth Taylor. The scent opens with top notes of Lilac, Peach and Rose, middle notes are Jasmine, Orchid and Spices. It's a wonderful layering scent with oils or deeper woody/ambery roses, but there will always be those off putting notes.Became an arm's length sweet powdered rose with one spray on the back of my hand within a couple of hours. They dressed for themselves because they were comfortable in themselves, and that's what this perfume is about. BUT late that night, like 8 hours later, I went back in that bathroom for something and it smelled amazing.

This is super feminine and sweet, with a sophisticated auntie Mame being the life of the party kind of vibe.It continues with this loveliness until it gets to a warm, milky, powdery undertow which remains closer to your skin. I love the cinnamon-y spices in this perfume and it would be ideal wearing for the festive seasons of the year when the air is crisp and fireplace smoke wafts through the cold air. In Diamonds and Rubies, the cedar and sandalwood provide an elegant woodsy base while supporting the rose with a creamy emollience. I had been excited to smell this for the past four years, but due to a tight budget had never been able to bring myself to actually spend the money.
