Description

For Lamp shades weighing less than 2 kg you can use a cord grip lampholder with shade rings to hang your shade. It was a patented product manufactured by Lewden. Lewden has been innovative throughout its life introducing many unique and award winning electrical solutions, such as the Ceiling Maestro. For shades over 2kg you need to support the flex by using some lighting chain and therefore need a lampholder with a hook and shade rings to hang your light shade. Then choose between a Bayonet Cap version with shade rings for a shade with a 32mm -35mm hole or an Edison screw version with shade rings for a shade with a 38mm – 45mm aperture. Next you need a ceiling rose with a hook and again some earthed 3 core flex which goes between the lampholder and the ceiling hook. The chain you need is our large link chain. This is sold in max of 10m single length. If your drop is more than that, lengths of chain can be joined using an S hook. Max shade weight is 5kg using a single hook. Please see our Weight tolerance FAQ if your shade is heavier than 5kg. In addition to being aesthetically pleasing, detachable ceiling roses are also highly practical. Not only do they make it easy to change the look of a room, but they can also be used to hide cables and wiring for a cleaner, more streamlined look. Additionally, detachable ceiling roses can be used to conceal air vents, enabling you to direct airflow to specific areas of the room without having to run visible ducts or pipes. Then choose between a Bayonet Cap version with shade rings for a shade with a 32mm – 35mm hole; or an Edison screw version with shade rings for a shade with a 38mm – 45mm aperture. Next you need a ceiling rose with a cord grip and some earthed 3 core flex which will go between the lamp holder and the ceiling rose.

Detachable ceiling roses can be found in a range of materials and sizes, from small and intricate designs to large and bold statement pieces. Whether you are looking for a classic look or something more modern, there is sure to be a detachable ceiling rose to fit your needs. Wood and metal are the most common materials used for detachable ceiling roses, but glass, ceramic and even fabric options are also available. Detachable ceiling roses come in a variety of shapes, including round, oval, square, rectangular and more. No matter what your preferred style may be, there is sure to be a detachable ceiling rose to suit your needs.Frequently they are the only decorative element on a ceiling, and so can provide a real stand-out feature, transforming a room for relatively little cost. Why Are Modern Materials Better Than Plaster? Sizing a ceiling rose traditionally worked in conjunction with the chandelier that hung from it. The eye sees both the rose and the chandelier as a single element. For proportion, the rose would be about the same width as the chandelier, or a bit smaller.

Modern materials are lightweight and not brittle, and therefore are much more easy to install than plaster which is heavy and easily damaged. That said, these materials have all of the beauty and moulding detail of a traditional plaster ceiling rose. Once painted, you won’t be able to see the difference. How To Choose The Right Ceiling Rose.Ceiling roses have been used in interior design for centuries, adding both charm and elegance to any room. But what are detachable ceiling roses, and how can they be used to create a unique and eye-catching look in your home? A seemingly simple product like this actually has many technical and legal/safety considerations, so to make something similar would involve much investment - we can only hope Lewden can bring out something similar soon. Ceiling roses or medallions are decorative ornaments that provide the function of hiding the hole and mess made in the ceiling by the electrics and light fittings as they enter the ceiling. Traditionally they were made from plaster, but ours are all lightweight ceiling roses made from modern polymer materials.
