This was my sister's very first signature perfume, and it has matured with grace and poise much like she has.

I knew friends at school who wore this and I got my first bottle with the dusting powder in 2012 along with a bottle of Fantasy and I have never looked back. I DIGRESS lol But my point is, because of that young love and those amazing times I had while wearing this perfume, "Curious" will always have a special place in my heart.

However, shortly after I reluctantly put it on this morning, the sweetness and freshness started to come through. So I bought a bottle just to smell what it was like, I couldn’t remember what it smelt like from all those years back, but when I got home I sprayed the bottle and I thought this is actually quite a mature scent…. Britney Spears Curious is a soft, sensual, feminine fragrance, with remnants of Britney′s home town of Louisiana. I will forever love Britney fragrances including this one but sometimes I feel it can be a little juvenile on people 18 and up only because so many teenagers wore this when released.

This is timeless and pretty and performs decently well, I think many people from a vide variety of scent profiles can like / respect this perfume. This is just fresh as a daisy and I cannot recommend this enough for people looking for a very fresh and floral scent for spring and summer. It’s literally a bright airy pear with a fresh magnolia sitting on a fruity musk base but it is so good.It has this feminine sharpness that I love - I have recently found that in Burberry London which reminded me of this perfume. I wore this perfume during my first real date and consequently my first relationship - you know, the kind of relationship that swept you off your feet, had you staying up all night either on the phone or making out, but it was all a lie and only lasted 2 months and left you with a completely shattered heart of a billion trillion pieces and low self-esteem, and introduced you to your very first therapy sessions for severe broken-heartedness (google it, it's a real thing) and depression? popular more current perfumes, such as Daisy, Alien, etc (none of which I find anywhere near as likeable as Curious - in fact, some are downright awful, like Alien!

Upon first spray it does smell VERY sharp in a way which makes my nose itch but after a few minutes that itch goes away but on my skin it takes an hour or so for it to smell nice as within the first hour I think it smells cheap and like a cleaning product, after a few hours it does remind me slightly of a cheap version of jadore as another reviewer said when the smell softens down. Of all my perfumes, Curious is the only one where I’ve completely used up several bottles of it and repurchased again and again. If you didn't recognize Curious by the scent alone (and most 90s girls would), you wouldn't be surprised to find this worn by a colleague at work or a teacher in high school. It reminds me a bit of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie somehow--like Lena on her summer vacation in Greece flirting with the cute local boy.This exhilarating white floral fragrance celebrates Britney's birthplace with Louisiana magnolia, and is wrapped in the sensuality of vanilla-infused musk. I can't really comment on the reformulations, I've read the reviews about the supposed cheapened newer versions of it, with cheap plastic caps and sprays, lack of dangling charms, etc. this one was really shampooey to me at first, but I let it macerate for a couple weeks and the vanilla and sandalwood really came thru. Also for the smell to really flourish, try putting on moisturizer first, or spraying it after a shower or on a humid or rainy day. I know this has been around forever but I wasn’t really keen on trying celebrity perfumes before I started my perfume journey.

For whatever reason, when I came back to it a week after opening the package, those chemical plastic smells disappeared. I keep getting it confused for the lingering hair dye smell that’s in my hair, but it’s the fragrance.
